Who’s That Girl??

l_7ffd93087dd36f68cf490640c44a9ce3Where have you been?! She’s Nicki Minaj and if you want a menoge’ keep a couple pretty broads! Another one repping Trini, this Queens, NY native has been on the underground rap scene for a minute. I first saw her on “The Come Up”, and always thought she had a star quality about her. She is also part of Lil’ Wayne’s “Young Money”. A lot of people give her flack saying that she’s too much like Foxy Brown or Lil’ Kim, but I feel like she’s doing her own thing. She recently released a mix-tape “Beam Me Up Scotty”, which i’ve purchased and it is OFF THE HOOK! Her flow and delivery is like nothing i’ve heard from a female emcee ever. Nicki Minaj has yet to become mainstream but I’m looking forward to see her make it! Much Love Nicki! Check out her Myspace for some of her music. http://www.myspace.com/nickiminaj << Make sure you check out “Slumber Party” and “Itty Bitty Piggy”

*It*s Chris Fox Essentials

I get a lot of questions on how I keep up a certain appearance when I’m out and about. It’s simple, I’ve kept my regiment a secret but I’m letting it out now! Men there is nothing wrong with pampering yourself, I’m not saying overdo it, but women LOVE  a properly groomed man, trust me I know 😉

1. Aveda Tourmaline Charged Radiance Maque $ 30

This helps shed dull, lackluster surface cells to reveal soft, radiant skin. It won’t kill you to put this on, It only has to be left on for 7 to 8 minutes, and once washed off you will definitely see a radiance in your skin.

2. Nutrogena Visibly Even Moisturizer $19

This moisturizer is great because it doesn’t leave your face looking like a grease bucket, and also is good for your pores because it doesn’t clog up your pores which causes pimples and breakouts.

3. Africa’s Best Herbal Oil $3, or Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil $7

Africa’s Best Herbal Oil not only gives you that celebrity skin glow, but it also smells extremely good. Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil gives you the same glow but to me is kind of uncomfortable for the first hour you apply it, but the results are worth it. I’m not saying to put this on your entire body just the parts visible with clothes on, unless……..you know! p.s. put on lotion first.

4. Jack Black Lip Balm $7

jackblack lipThis is a mens product that can be purchased at Sephora, Nobody wants someone with chapped up dry lips, so invest in one of these and you will be good in that category.

5. Clippers

CLIPPERSOne way I can make it seem like I go to the barber twice a week is by keeping one of these. Just follow the barbers line about two days after he did it and you can continue doing that until your next haircut. Not only is this good for haircuts also body hair, you can put on a guide comb and shave your body hair even (arm pits, pubes). Not only does this help with hygiene, it looks a lot better.

There, the secrets out! Why not go invest in making yourself look, and smell like you jumped off the pages of GQ magazine, who doesn’t want that!!!!

Not really into suits, but this one right here!

Anyone that knows me knows that I’d rather throw on a button up shirt and sum slacks and maybe a tie, but Kudos to whoever put this look together cuz it is fye*. In this pic rapper Cam’Ron is dressed in a Moschino suit, not too tight and not too baggy, they found a median between the hood and fashion thing. The colors in the suit is mixed in with both the tie and the shirt. I’m even more impressed because they mixed stripes with polka dots, talk about thinking outside of the box.  Might have to go get me a suit.

*fye=fire=hot=a new word i learned in the A.

My Favorite Artists from the 90’s

I‘ma 80’s baby so I’m stuck in the 90’s when it comes to music lol. Here is a list of my favorite artists of the 90’s era.

Let’s kick *it* off with SWV

BLAME IT ON MY OLDER SISTER CRYSTAL!! I used to want to kill myself because all she used to listen to was SWV in the early to mid 90’s. As I got older I became hooked, the groups lead signer Coko has the most unique voice i’ve ever heard, and on top of that her range is impeccable . Around this time period is when all the fly girls had long nails and baggy clothes, i wonder if it’ll ever make a comeback…and I hope SWV makes a come back! Coko has a gospel album coming out in approx 2 hours lol “The Winner in Me”..i pre-ordered it on iTunes, I’m a fan lol.

Next is MONICA

Monica Arnold bka Monica hmm….what can i say about Monica, to me Monica not only epitomized beauty but her voice was bananas. Just the tone of her voice even when she came out when she was barely a teen surpassed most of the artists out. I remember having a couple Monica “Word Up” posters on my wall when i was younger. Monica’s still doing her thing and her future seems extremely bright. Good Luck Mo.

And I can’t stop this countdown without Foxy Brown

I drive everyone crazy with Fox Boogie Brown aka Inga Marchand bka Foxy Brown. Whenever someone sees that I have 146 Foxy Brown songs on my iTunes, they think i’m crazy lol. But to me Foxy was always “That Bitch”, not only was she Trini, but her whole swag was off the hook, and her flow topped it off. Arguably the illest female emcee to ever grace the mic. She was claimed by two of the illest emcees out Jay-Z and Nas. Foxy does seem to let her fans down a lot but I still ride cuz she did her thing and left her legend of good music and entertainment. We miss u boogs!

There is a couple more artists I can name but these are definitely my three favorite 90’s artists.
